RSW Annual Exhibition
the 143rd Annual RSW Exhibition opened on Friday night. Thanks to all my friends and family that came along, it was a great evening, topped off with my winning an award which was a lovely surprise. I won it for the work ‘Japanese Anemones’. I am delighted, thank you RSW.
The exhibition is at the Royal scottish Academy, Edinburgh and runs until 6th February. Get along if you can. x

New Year.
January rain scours the tattie field, tumbling earth and stone down the hillside. Trembling hedgerows of mistle thrush. A buzzard mews in the wild wood.
Last drawing this year. Thank you to everyone for your support, it is so appreciated. Always. And I can’t wait to start to learning the bagpipes in the new year. That and making more work about the piers and dock at Methil- here is to a braw 2024 !

A frozen north wind skittles sleet showers along the pier to the lighthouse. The Grey sea mumbles beneath. It is quiet, no signs of life save the creaking of wood and old bones, cold bones on a day like this.
